Sahaja Yoga Meditation
Sahaja Yoga Meditation teaches a unique method of meditation, rooted in ancient spiritual knowledge. You can achieve a state of balance in just 10 minutes.
Why Sahaja Yoga?
Through Sahaja Yoga, you can achieve a state of meditation known as thoughtless awareness. In this state, you experience and enjoy the present moment without any distractions from the past or future. Your consciousness works in flow with your inner energy (Kundalini). Being in this state makes you peaceful and balanced while improving your wellness and relationships over time.
Your Inner Energy, Kundalini
Kundalini, derived from the Sanskrit word “kundala” meaning “coil,” is a conscious, evolutionary energy lying dormant at the base of each person’s spine in the sacrum bone. When this energy is awakened, it begins its journey upwards through your central energy channel, the Sushumna. Piercing through and purifying the chakras along the way, she finally emerges at the top of the skull. It is at this point that Self-Realization takes place, and your Kundalini is united with the all-pervading spiritual energy which surrounds and encompasses all living things.
This Kundalini sits deep inside you, in your sacrum bone.
Chakras and Channels
The subtle system is the network of energy centers (chakras) and channels (nadis) along the central nervous system through which our Kundalini flows. Sahaja Yoga helps you learn to feel, understand and ultimately use your own subtle system to achieve Self-Realization.
There are seven main chakras (energy centers) located along the spine. They are the fulcrums that control most aspects of our physical, mental and spiritual lives. Chakras are located at the sites of our main nerve plexuses.
A channel is referred to as “nadi” in Sanskrit. You can think of a channel as an enclosed passage. In the context of our subtle system, the channel is a means through which the Kundalini energy flows within our subtle system.
What affects our subtle system?
Our subtle system is highly sensitive and can be impacted in both positive and negative ways by our surroundings, the decisions we make, and even our thoughts.
Thankfully, any negative imbalances in our chakras can be removed naturally with the nourishment of our own kundalini.
